沿革
Tokyo Unique will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2023.
In 1974, Takeaki Maeda (current president of Tokyo Unique), who had been involved in the development of Rika-chan and Microman as an employee of Takara Corporation (current Takara Tomy), became independent and started the company as a toy prototype shop.
Delayed delivery was the norm for prototype shops at the time, but by delivering products several days in advance, the company gained trust and orders increased. Later, the number of employees was increased, and the company began to offer product planning and proposals, and even established an office and factory in China.
We began to handle all processes involved in manufacturing, from planning to production.
Today, we have also built a vast factory in Vietnam, enabling us to deliver toys to children not only in Japan but also around the world.
The speed and cost control achieved by providing a one-stop service from planning to development and production, as well as the high level of technology in each field, have earned us a strong reputation and trust in the toy industry.
